Support Small Business Saturday!!

Good morning!!!  Today is Small Business Saturday! The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday® is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses
on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.  So make sure you shop your favorite local stores and help fuel the economy!

Remember a couple of weeks ago, I won one of the gift cards from American Express for $25 to spend on Small Business Saturday.  Any suggestions on where I should shop today?

#Black Friday Shopping Results…..

I pray that you all had a blessed Thanksgiving.  It was definitely a great one for me and my family with lots of food, fun and relaxing.

As for Black Friday…..this year was the first year that we actually did Black Friday shopping. You would think as much as we use coupons, we would be into Black Friday, but we really are not a big fans of it.  However, this year we decided to have an open mind about it.  We researched all the deals online for the toys/electronics/video games that my kids want for Christmas and was actually quite surprised at the savings.  Our plan was basically to buy things online, but then we discovered that some items we wanted at Toys R Us were not eligible to be shipped to the store so my husband decided to head to Toys R Us about 8:15 pm last night to get in line.  He was home by midnight and was able to get everything we wanted without getting peppered sprayed (did you hear about that?)  Our shopping included Target (all online), Toys R Us and Walmart.  We stayed within our Christmas budget and saved at least 40-90% on the items we purchased, but still have a couple of more video games to get and are still looking for a deal on a Kindle.  I still think that Black Friday is a little overrated, but we love the idea of buying items online at the same price and only going out for the items that are not eligible for free shipping or shipping to the store. Plus, it feels good to have about 80% of my Christmas shopping done.  I wonder how Cyber Monday will be…….

Did you snag any great Black Friday deals?  If so, please tell us what you got?
