Happy Saturday! It is Father’s Day weekend so this post is coming to you early because I actually did my shopping Friday night so I could have my Saturday free for some family time. I went to two stores: Publix and Bilo. I was also challenged with only $25 in my grocery cash envelope so I need to save as much as I could on both of these trips. Did I pass the test and stay on budget? You bet I did! Here is how I did:
Publix: Once again, I got paid to shop at Publix! Publix paid me $8.20 (and I saved $185.00) to take home $193.20 in groceries!!!! I used (1) $10/$50 Harris Teeter coupon (I got another set in the mail yesterday too!), (1) $5/$30 Publix coupon (it was in the Wed. Fort Mill Times), and (1) $3/$15 Food Lion coupon on this trip. I also qualified for the Stock Up For Storm Season $10 Publix Gift card rebate wyb $25 in Conagra products.
FREE PLUS OVERAGE: (10) Sundown Vitamins (used (10) $2/1 manufacturer coupons and (5) $5/2 Publix coupons), (6) Nature Made Vitamins (used (6) $2/1 manufacturer coupons and (3) $6/2 Publix coupons), (6) Sunlight Dish Detergent (used (6) $1/1 manufacturer coupon, (4) Oral B Battery Toothbrush Replacement Heads (used (4) $7/1 manufacturer coupons)
$1.00 Or Less: (4) Scotties Facial Tissue for 13 cents each, (20) Hunt’s Ketchup (part of the Stock Up For Storm Season Rebate) for 22 cents each (used (10) $1/2 Hunts Ketchup Publix coupon from the Stock Up For Storm Season Booklet. I picked up a few of these on various trips to Publix earlier, but they now have them behind the CS desk so ask for one), (2) Lysol Multi Surface Cleaners for 59 cents each, (12) Chef Boyardee for 75 cents each (used (3) $1/4 Publix coupons), (4) Klondike Bars for 95 cents each
Over $1.00: (2) Perdue Refrigerated Breaded Chicken Nuggets for $1.20 each
Bilo: Now I did spend a little money on this Bilo trip, but I won’t complain. I spent $5.85 for $124.21, saving 95%!!! I used my 10% Harris Teeter Discount Card and (1) $10/$50 Harris Teeter Coupon on this trip. My total should have actually been lower, but I forgot to use a $5 Bilo gift card I won from a game on Facebook. I also earned 20 cents in Fuelperks on this trip. NOTE: Bilo had several misprints in their ad this week. I did not purchase any of those items, but go here to see their response and to get a refund if you bought any of the items. Thanks @Coupon Mama for the post!
FREE PLUS OVERAGE: (2) Sundown Vitamins (used the same coupons that I did at Publix. I walked by them and saw they were B1G1 so I grabbed 2 more bottles)
FREE: (10) Colgate Toothbrush, (1) Minute Maid 2 Liter Lemonade (used $1 Ecoupon for Coke and it worked on this since this is a Coke product)
$1.00 Or Less: (1) Apple for 15 cents (used Bilo coupon I got in the mail), (1) Cucumber for 64 cents(used Bilo coupon I got in the mail), (1) Cabbage for 68 cents (used Bilo coupon I got in the mail), (2) Betty Crocker Frosting for 38 cents each, (2) Garland Jack BBQ Sauce for 59 cents each (earned 5 cents in FP), (2) Betty Crocker Cake Mix for 75 cents each (earned 5 cents in FP), (2) Coffeemate Creamers for 90 cents, (2) Fresh Express Salad Kits for 90 cents, (1) Dixie Crystals Sugar for 99 cents (earned 5 cents in FP)
Over $1.00: (2) Yoplait Gogurts for $1.25 each, (3) Ivory Bodywash for $1.50 each), (2) LouAna Cooking Oil for $1.90, (4) Mountain Springer Farms Boneless Chicken for $2.02 each (used raincheck for B1G1)
I will probably not do a trip to Harris Teeter this weekend because they did not have any deals I wanted to get, but there are RUMORS that they might be doing Super Doubles for the whole week again starting Wed. 6/19th. I have not confirmed this, but if I do hear or see an ad I will let you know.
Enjoy your Father’s Day weekend!!!!!
